Maricar Reyes, behind Angel Locsin and Luiz Manzano's Rift?

Maricar Reyes has been rumored as the woman behind the reported Angel Locsin – Luis Manzano breakup. The rumors just don’t die down as a number of showbiz websites and prints rporting this rumor is growing in numbers.

Due to this development, Luis Manzano finally speaks up during the press conference of his upcoming film with John Lloyd Cruz and mom Vilma Santos titled “In My Life”. Luis admitted that their relationship (Luis and Angel) is going through what he called as a “phase” at the moment. But when asked about the Maricar Reyes angle he quickly denied it saying Maricar has nothing to do with it.

“I’d been hearing the weirdest stories, I don’t need to elaborate. Ang sinabi ko never was, never is, walang third party,” Luis emphasized to the press.

Maricar Reyes’ involvement with the actor was when she was reported to be the leading lady of Luis in “Flash Bomba” but instead the role went to Roxanne Guinoo.

Sam Milby and Angel Locsin Together in a Movie, Anyone Interested?

Fresh from their successful tandem in ‘Only You,’ Angel Locsin and Sam Milby are reportedly being cast on an upcoming movie by Star Cinema. If plans push through, the movie will be greenlighted early next year. Star Cinema must have sensed the fan’s response to their chemistry on the teleserye.

Sam spilled the beans on the possible pairing: “They were talking about maybe next year, andaming nagsasabi na maganda ‘yung chemistry namin.”

The project would have been started shooting earlier, but Sam’s busy finishing a movie with Erap, AiAi, Toni and Aling Dionisia – Star Cinema’s ‘Ang Tanging Pamilya’ – slated to compete in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival in December. Angel’s schedule, on the other hand, is also full; she’s set to do a movie with Aga Muhlach and a teleserye with John Lloyd.

Angel Locsin vs. Marian Rivera

When former GMA-7 talent, Angel Locsin moved to ABS-CBN, her supposed to be 'new projects' like Marimar are 'passed' on to Marian Rivera which makes the two the 'new showbiz rivals'. This 2009 there's another comparison for the two. I think this topic is great to be added at the Great Debates website. A place where great debates are voted on & the outcome is settled. When there are reports that Marian Rivera will do another remake of superhero Darna (slightly rip-off of Wonder Woman) which Angel Locsin already did back in 2005. Fans of the 2 are so ecstatic what would be the outcome in terms of ratings.



Angel Locsin holds the record of 54.3 percent from the highest single episode of GMA’s Darna in 2005. Darna is the fourth in the list of all time highest-rating Philippine tv series. Angel Locsin's first TV series on ABS-CBN, Lobo topped the NUTAM when it ended, Only You got 39.8% in it's last episode.

Marian Rivera holds the record of 49.5 percent from an episode of GMA’s Marimar, the highest rating achieved by a Philippine tv series in the year 2007. Dyesebel got 44.9% when it premiered, while Darna 2009 got 44.1% on it's pilot episode.

Piolo Pascual comments on Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano’s rumored breakup

Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano have allegedly broken up. Rumors of a third party have surfaced though both stars have yet to confirm or deny such reports. During an interview with ABS-CBN.com last August 10, Luis gave no indication of such a split and said except for the fact that their respective busy schedules prevent them from seeing each other that their relationship was okay. Angel gave a similar statement during the last taping day of Only You at Parks and Wildlife last August 21.

The issue came up during the press conference of Piolo Pascual for Kimmy Dora: Kambal Sa Kiyeme at Max’s Restaurant last August 20. As Angel’s former leading man and good friend, the entertainment press asked him if he knew anything about it, but he was equally uncertain about what really happened between her and Luis. “Nabasa ko lang din yun. Hindi ko alam kung totoo pero kung ganon man nakakalungkot kasi matagal na sila e. Bago pa lumipat sa ABS-CBN si Angel sila na ni Luis. Nakakalungkot kasi kaibigan ko sila pareho. Siguro kung para sa ikabubuti ng dalawa okay sana. Pero kung hindi naman, nakakapanghinayang kasi may emotional investment na rin kasi sila sa isa’t isa ’di ba? So I hope hindi pa tapos,” he commented.

Piolo hasn’t talked to either Luis or Angel yet but he’ll probably know the real deal when he finally sees the former on ASAP this Sunday. “Hindi pa kami nag-uusap ni Angel. I saw her a couple of days ago after niya manood ng concert ni Lady Gaga. She seemed okay naman. I think bago lang naman yung breakup nila but just the same, sana maging okay sila ulit. Makikita ko naman si Luis sa ASAP sa Sunday so tatanungin ko siya about it,” he added.

Angel Locsin and Sam Milby's Chemistry

Angel Locsin and Sam Milby’s chemistry in the recently concluded teleserye Only You earned them fans who faithfully tuned in each week night to watch the love story between their characters unfold. At a recent contract signing for a new endorsement, Sam revealed that there have been talks of a movie to be headlined by Angel and himself. “They were talking about maybe next year, andaming nagsasabi na maganda ‘yung chemistry namin,” said Sam.
It might take some time though before they can work on the film since both stars are quite busy with their respective projects. Sam is currently working on a movie with Ai-Ai de las Alas, Joseph Estrada, and Toni Gonzaga, which will be Star Cinema’s entry for the Metro Manila Film Festival in December. “And then there is a planned movie with Anne Curtis, pero hindi pa sigurado ‘yun. But if that pushes through, siyempre it (the movie with Angel) will be next year na,” he explained. Angel also has her hands full with a movie with Aga Muhlach and a teleserye with John Lloyd lined up for her.
Strangely enough, it was their great onscreen chemistry that got people thinking that Sam was the cause of Angel and Luis Manzano’s rumored breakup. Sam clarified that although Angel is a beautiful person inside and out, he never entertained the idea of courting her. “She’s very lovely and a very nice girl and very generous but I never looked at her that way. I never thought about it that way,” he stressed.
He said that the cast of Only You is planning to have a get-together, possibly a trip to South Korea where some of Only You’s scenes were shot, but Sam said that he won’t be able to go with them because of work.
Sam just arrived from Hawaii where he attended his older sister’s wedding. The trip was also his first break from work this year and he was happy to spend some time with family and friends. While his sister has settled down, Sam said that he hasn’t given it much thought yet. “It’s something a woman does a lot more than a guy. Hindi ko naman iniisip kung kailan ako ikakasal,” Sam said. The 25-year-old singer/actor said that he still wants to do a lot of things. “I do miss being in love and I do want to be in love naman pero kung mangyayari siya mangyayari siya. Pero hindi na dapat pilitin o hindi ko na siya dapat hanapin.”

Angel Locsin and Luiz Manzano, Misunderstanding or Break-up?

Luis Manzano breaks the silence as he was approached by certain media people in regards about the rumored breakup issue with the sexy actress Angel Locsin about a week back. When asked if there is truth behind the break-up, Luis swiftly admitted that both he and Locsin are going through a time of adversity and misunderstanding but reassures that there is no third party involved in this conflict between these two.

He did not disclose the details about the misunderstanding he and his girlfriend Angel Locsin are having. Her Mother Vilma Santos at the other end added a few details that the said conflict between her son Luiz Manzano and Angel is not in regards with time (lack of time for each other) noting that it is despicable to talk about the two quarreling just because of such a small issue, since both highly respect each others schedule.
The couple which is said to have broken up already in about a weeks time was on the rear end of falling apart earlier this year with Angel Locsin shockingly changing her Facebook Status to single.
Media would love to have the actress provide some input about the conflict she has with her boyfriend Luis, but it is impossible to reach out to her as she’s currently in South Korea for the recording of a TV Commercial.
